Find the best in saltwater fishing March 16-18, at the Garden State Exhibit Center in Somerset, New Jersey
Dover, NH – February 27, 2012 – From March 16-18, the Garden State Exhibit Center in Somerset, New Jersey will be transformed into a saltwater angler’s paradise at the Saltwater Fishing Expo. Hundreds of exhibitors will be offering deals on the latest in saltwater fishing gear, apparel and fishing trips. The Saltwater Expo represents the entire spectrum of saltwater fishing with inshore and offshore equipment, light tackle to big-game tackle and everything in-between. In addition, the Expo will have a large number of fun activities and educational seminars that are designed to appeal to saltwater fishing enthusiasts of all ages.
“The Saltwater Fishing Expo is entirely ‘geared’ towards people who love saltwater fishing,” said Show Director Paul Fuller. “The expo is the place to be if you want to get great deals on tackle, see a wide variety of boats or simply have fun while checking out our exciting exhibits and activities.”
Looking for inspiration to land a world-record fish? Show goers will need to check out the 81.88 pound striper that Greg Myerson caught this past August. Myerson’s catch broke the previous 29-year old striper world record. Don’t miss this monster fish.
A new and exclusive feature at this year’s Expo is the American Fly Fishing School. The school’s fly fishing experts will have a casting pool right on the show floor where they will offer continuous fly fishing instruction. Additionally, they will have a learning center where show goers can see fly tying demonstrations and receive professional advice and tips. There isn’t a better opportunity to learn the precise techniques of fly fishing.
If you are in the market for a new boat, then you definitely want to check out the Saltwater Expo’s Boatyard. The expo features aisle after aisle of the very latest in saltwater boats with special show prices. The Boatyard will also have a full selection of boating accessories and electronics.
The expo is also a great event for the children. This year, the expo features the “Reel Kids” Casting event hosted by the New Jersey youth chapter of The Bass Federation. On Saturday, March 17, and Sunday, March 18, children of all ages can practice the casting skills needed for bass fishing. The three most used lure presentations in bass fishing – flipping, pitching and casting – will be taught. At the end of the event, your children should be bass fishing experts!
Additionally, Sunday, February 18, is Family Day when children 11 and under are admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult. The first 100 children through the doors will receive a free Plano tackle box. Family Day also includes a fun scavenger hunt where children can receive a prize by visiting our youth-friendly attractions and having their checklist stamped.
